District 12 Honor BandEach December, students from around the state audition for a spot in the honor band for their district. These auditions consist of playing scales, an etude, and sight reading. Those chosen to be in the Honor Band meet at a local high school and play challenging music throughout a weekend in February. Samuel auditioned to earn a spot in the trombone section of the District 12 Honor Band, which is comprised mainly of Cobb County, a competitive and talented area of the state for music. Samuel was chosen to participate in the Honor Band in 2015 and 2017.
